Easy to set up

I bought Typedesk for the Mac text expander. It installed quickly. Made some customer support shortcuts. Works as expected. Good product.

Consistent performance

This isn't my first time with Typedesk. I first bought the lifetime deal when it was available, and I've been a user ever since. I've seen them add features like team folders and better analytics. This recent purchase was just an upgrade to add more users to my team plan. The setup was as smooth as before, no surprises. It's really reliable across my Mac and Windows devices, and the syncing is always on point. Knowing I can depend on it for our customer support shortcuts is why I keep coming back.

Good for daily use

I purchased the individual premium plan for Typedesk a couple of months ago. The ordering process was straightforward on their website, and I received the confirmation email right away. Installation on my Mac and Windows machines was quick; just downloaded the app and logged in. I mostly use it for sales outreach templates and LinkedIn message automation. The dynamic placeholders are a real time-saver. Support answered a question about multi-language snippets within a few hours. My only small issue is sometimes the browser extension is a bit slower to load on certain sites, but it's not a major problem. Overall, it works well and handles my needs for repetitive typing.

Typedesk is a lifesaver

I got the annual plan for Typedesk last week and it's already making a huge difference. Setting up shared snippets for my customer support team was super easy. We're using it for our Zendesk templates and the time saved is just incredible! Definitely recommending this to everyone I know. I'll be back for sure when we need to expand our team plan!

Can you actually use Typedesk on both a Mac and a Windows machine with the same account? Like, do the snippets sync up?

K Kevin 1 month ago
Yep, that's one of the best parts! I use it on my work Mac and home PC, everything just syncs up. It's truly cross-platform.

For sure. I even use the browser extension and the mobile app and all my snippets are there. It's super handy.

Thinking of getting Typedesk for my customer support team. Does it play nice with Zendesk or is it more of a general text expander?

A Andre W. 1 month ago
It has direct integrations for Zendesk actually, and also Help Scout. So yeah, it's designed to work with those platforms pretty well, not just general text expanding.

I use it with Zendesk everyday. It's way faster than using Zendesk's native templates, especially for more complex responses with variables. Big time saver.

Does Typedesk ever have a lifetime deal? I really hate subscriptions and wanna just buy it once and be done.

D Dan Z. 3 weeks ago
They totally do! I snagged one during a Black Friday sale last year. Keep an eye out around those big sale events like Cyber Monday or maybe even Appsumo. They pop up occasionally.

Yeah, I think I remember seeing them on Appsumo a while back. They don't do it all the time but it's worth waiting for if you can. Otherwise, the annual discount is decent too.

Hey, looking at Typedesk but also considering TextExpander. Anyone use both or have strong opinions on which is better for a small team? Trying to cut down on support reply times.

R Renee V. 1 month ago
I tried TextExpander for a bit, then switched to Typedesk. For a team, I think Typedesk wins because of the shared snippets and team folders. TextExpander felt more individual-focused.

Yeah, I use Typedesk for my small biz. The cross-platform thing is super useful, especially if some of your team are on Mac and others Windows. Plus, the integrations with Gmail/Zendesk are pretty smooth.

Is there a free version of Typedesk to try out, or do I just jump straight into a paid plan?

D Dana Y. 3 weeks ago
There's a free trial actually! You can test it out before committing to anything. It's how I started.

Yeah, I think the free version has some limitations but it's enough to get a feel for it. Good way to see if it fits your workflow.
